The Requisitions screen is where you turn a replenishment requisition into a Purchase Order and ASN in Control Tower, so the stock can be received. Requisitions are raised automatically when an item drops below the minimum levels configured in the warehouse settings — you don't create them here.

Page Overview
- Access this page from:
Main Menu > Receiving, then the Requisitions button at the top of the page.
- The workflow is short:
- Requisitions List: Review the requisitions raised for your warehouse.
- Create PO / ASN: Enter the PO and shipment details to create the Purchase Order and ASN.
- Receive the PO: Receive the new PO through the normal receiving flow.
- Use the Back button in the header to return to the Receiving page.
Requisition Steps
1️⃣ Requisitions List
The list shows the requisitions for your active warehouse, with the detail you need to decide what to order.
- Columns: Items (item code and quantity per line), Line Count, Business Unit, PO Number (filled in once a PO exists), Expected By, Status, and Priority.
- Filters: Filter by Item, Business Unit, and Status. There's also a Search All box, and Clear / Apply controls in the filter panel.
- Statuses:
Pending (blue), In Transit (amber), Cancelled (red), and Completed (green).
- Priority:
Standard, Rush, or Critical.
- Row actions: Create PO/ASN (see the next tab) and View History, which opens the change-tracking timeline for that requisition.
- Already ordered? The Create PO/ASN button only appears while the requisition has no PO — once one exists, the button is gone and the PO number is shown instead.
2️⃣ Create PO / ASN
Selecting Create PO/ASN opens a drawer where you enter the order and shipment details. Everything marked required must be filled in before you can submit.
PO / Shipment Details
- PO Number (required): Type the purchase-order number. It isn't generated for you.
- Vendor (required): Searchable list of vendors — who you're ordering from.
- Carrier (required): Searchable list of carriers — who's bringing it.
- Shipment Date (required): The date the shipment leaves the vendor.
- Estimated Delivery Date (required): When you expect it to arrive.
- Tracking Number (optional): Carrier tracking number, if you have it.
PO Lines
- One row per requisition line: Each row shows the Item (name and code), the Req Qty (what the requisition asked for), an editable Quantity, and the PO Line #.
- Quantity is editable: It starts at the requisitioned amount — change it if the vendor is shipping a different quantity. The minimum is 1.
- Fixed line set: Lines come from the requisition, so you can't add or remove them here.
Submitting
- Submit creates the Purchase Order and the ASN together, and a confirmation appears — for example
PO 12345 and ASN created successfully.
- Cancel closes the drawer without creating anything.
- If your session has no active warehouse location, you'll see
No active warehouse location found. — set your warehouse and try again.
3️⃣ Receive the PO
Once the PO and ASN exist, the requisition is done and receiving picks up as normal.
- The list updates: The requisition row shows the new PO Number, and the Create PO/ASN button disappears — one PO/ASN per requisition.
- Receive it: Go back to Receiving and either scan or type the PO number at PO Lookup, or find the PO on the Purchase Orders tab and tap Receive.
- Then follow the normal steps: Confirm lines, inspect and count, and assign for put-away exactly as you would for any other PO.
💡 User Insights
- Requisitions come to you: They're raised automatically when an item falls below its configured minimum in the warehouse settings. This screen is for acting on them, not creating them.
- One PO per requisition: Creating the PO/ASN is a one-time action per requisition, so double-check the vendor, carrier, dates, and quantities before you submit.
- Adjust quantity deliberately: The quantity defaults to what was requisitioned. If you order less, the shortfall stays below min and may raise another requisition later.
- Expected By is your clock: Use the Expected By date and Priority together to decide which requisitions to order first.
